Our Ministries

At UUMC, we believe the local church is the hope of our world, and being a Christian means transforming our world into a better place. That starts by making a difference in the lives of others through ministry and social outreach. These are the ministries of UUMC you can engage with and participate in!

Music Ministry

Our music ministry seeks to develop disciples through the gift of music. Our music ministry has a vocal choir and a handbell choir that helps contribute to Sunday morning worship and other great church activities!

Children's Ministry

At UUMC, we believe our children are our future. So, on Sunday morning, our children participate in worship by processing in with our choir and being in worship for awhile with our adults. After the children’s moment in the service, children exit with their Sunday School teacher to do an age appropriate lesson.

Youth Ministry

Developing young people into disciples and leaders is important for us. We do have a youth ministry where teenagers can be a part of a welcoming group. We go to retreats and camp often as well. We also encourage our students to fully participate in the life of the church through our other ministries as they prepare for and transition to adulthood.

Kendall Whittier

We are finding new ways to support our KW neighbors through UUMC outreach. Our church regularly includes our community during holidays and events, and recently has begun volunteer work at the Kendall Whittier Elementary School down the street.

In addition to reaching out in new ways, our Kendall Whittier Food Pantry continues to provide essentials to folks in need. The pantry is located in our church and for decades has supported this community with food assistance. If you are or someone you know is in need of food assistance from the pantry, please call 918-592-3000.

Double Flag Coffee

As a part of our alternate income model, Double Flag Coffee is one of two businesses owned and operated by the church. Double Flag Coffee is a full service coffee company that services events. We have a 20ft mobile trailer that can travel anywhere and provide premium coffee. All profits from this business go into the ministries and mission of University United Methodist Church.

Propel Business & Event Center

Propel Business and Event Center is one of two businesses owned and operated by University United Methodist Church as apart of our alternate income model. Propel B&E is a commercial office and event space rental company. We have space available all throughout the church where tenants can rent to host their business and company in our church. We have a thriving community of business owners and non-profits that rent from our church. All profits from this venture go towards the mission and ministry of University United Methodist Church.
