Welcome to the University United Methodist Church's Centennial Celebration! We are thrilled to commemorate 100 years of faith, community, and service on TU’s beautiful campus in the heart of Tulsa . Since our establishment in 1923, UUMC has been a beacon of love, compassion, and spiritual growth, touching the lives of countless individuals and making a positive impact on our surrounding community. As we reflect on our rich history, we invite you to join us on September 17th as we gather together to celebrate this significant milestone.

SEPTEMBER 17TH

This fall we will come together as a church family and community to honor the legacy of UUMC. Our celebration will be a joyous occasion filled with worship, fellowship, and reminiscence. The day will commence with a special worship service and the unveiling of our Centennial Altar Cross. We will then be blessed with a sermon by Bishop James Nunn, and then experience some soul-stirring music with a unique commissioned piece just for this 100-Year event!

Following the service, we invite you to join us for a festive reception and meal in Fellowship Hall, where we will share stories, reconnect with old friends, and create new memories. Tours of the church and talks about our historical memorabilia will then continue through the afternoon.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

We have a number of projects that we are working on for the 100-Year Anniversary which will pay homage to our rich history, as well as prepare us for decades beyond. Some of the major projects include:

  • Proposed monument sign for 5th and College commemorating our 100 years

  • Proposed pergola and electrical updates to courtyard

  • Updated audio/visual equipment for sanctuary

  • Development of interior space to house historical church artifacts
